Sounds of India
Curated by Mark Morris
This year, the White Light Festival casts its gaze on artistic expression originating in and inspired by India. Choreographer Mark Morris, who has developed a deep relationship with the country over three decades, curates this special focus that explores place, culture, tradition, and the creativity of this vibrant part of the world. Along with Morris’s own dance company, artists rooted in Indian classical traditions shed light on the universal nature of India’s artistic heritage and dynamism.
